A December to Remember
Looking back to early December 2023, it feels like both a lifetime ago and just yesterday. Before the whirlwind of events that followed, I was walking down the aisle to marry the love of my life. I chose "As the World Falls Down" by David Bowie from Labyrinth as my song, a bit unconventional perhaps, but it felt perfect. "As the pain sweeps through, Makes no sense for you, Every thrill is gone, Wasn't too much fun at all, But I'll be there for you-ou-ou, As the world falls down." What I cherish most about that day is that my dad was there, beaming with pride and little did we know the world, our world, was literally about to fall apart. I'm now eternally grateful for that precious memory, thank the UNIVERSE for that memory. I was also incredibly honored to have my Aunt PJ walk me down the aisle. Her presence meant the world to me, and having her by my side as I began this new chapter was something I'll treasure forever.
More than anything, that day solidified how incredibly lucky I am to have married my husband. He is the most selfless and loving person I know, constantly going above and beyond for our entire family. From small acts of kindness to major life support, he does it all with unwavering dedication and a huge heart. Remembering the joy and commitment we shared that day fills me with hope and gratitude, especially during these challenging times. I am so blessed to have him as my partner in life.
